Hi! I would love this Index Search function to work. After installing, and
waiting 3 days to index overnight, it still doesn't work. The mystery is in the "Search Options" dialogue box. Under "Indexing" there's 2 check boxes, one for Personal Folders, the other for Internet Calenenders. Problem is, it's GREYED OUT and I can't select either check box!! Very frustrating... Can anyone in blue blazes explain how to rememedy this problem??? Help would be appreciated! Thanks. |

Hi,
1. Reset Outlook as the default e-mail client. To do this, follow these steps: a. Right-click Start. b. Click Properties. c. On the Start Menu tab, click Customize. d. Under the Show on Start menu, select the E-mail check box, and then select Microsoft Office Outlook on the drop-down menu. 2. Internet Explorer- a. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer. b. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options. c. Click the Programs tab. d. In the E-mail drop-down list, click Microsoft Office Outlook (Also, check for the Calendar field too). e. Click Apply, and then click OK. 3. Outlook- a. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click Other. b. Under General, select the Make Outlook the default program for E-mail, Contacts, and Calendar check box. Let me know if this helps you out. Thanks, Mittu "JAYBO" wrote: Hi! Hi Mittu,
I was so glad to receive your instructions to solve this problem! I followed them exactly, but STILL I'm unable to check the boxes to select Personal Folders. I even restarted my computer and re installed outlook and the search function. Does that leave me with any more options to try? Many thanks! Jay "Mittu" wrote: Hi, 1.
