Hi,
Can you tell me the version of Windows and the Service Packs installed? Also, do tell me if there are any service packs installed for Office/Outlook. Thanks, Mittu "jachin1959" wrote: reported error (0x800CCC80) None of the authentication methods supported by this account are supported by your server" The account worked under Outlook 2003; what has change or what do I need to specifiy in the configuration to connect to my mail server that is running POP3 to pull my messages. Outlook is 2007 Beta 12.0.4017.1003
WIndows XP: Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600 I found that when I removed authentication for outgoing all worked well. My SMTP server took the email w/o error; it concerns me that the outgoing authentication woked for Outlook 2003 but not 2007 with my linux based SMTP server. Yes, what is the deal with this? In Outlook 2000, clients cannot send a
message throug my server without this setting being checked. Is this an issue with SMTP servers, or is Outlook attempting authentication behind the scenes without this setting enabled?
