each time i open outlook the window installer runs. window installer also run
every time i try to use thing like in the file or view or hepl

I've got the same problem. Deleting Windows office and reinstalling doesn't
help. It may be caused because I have the 60 day demo version of Windows
Office Standard that came with the computer, but I'm installing the Windows
Office Pro version (For Students and Teachers - S&T).

Historically, I opened the demo version.
Then I installed Windows 2002 S&T.
I started getting this error and deleted the 2002 version.
Then I installed the Windows 2003 S&T version.

The problem persists regardless of updates, restarts, leaving the disk in
the CD drive, taking it out . . . I'm running out of ideas.

Any suggestions?

I did fine that the 2002 version left at least one old file behind, so the
cleaning wasn't perfect. Furthermore, I am unable to install the demo
version.

I'm having the same problem since I installed 2003 to repalce my 2000
version. The installer will stop after about a half hour, but if I close
outlook, the next time I run outlook the installer starts again.

Help!

I resolved this windows installer problem by completely uninstalling the
program through the control panel, AND installing and running the windows
installer cleanup utility, then reinstalling the program. The cleanup utility
msicuu2.exes
