After reformatting the c drive, I installed Outlook 2002, set up a POP3 email
account and imported te Outlook.pst file from my backup. How do I deliver

E-mail accounts and .PSTs are two separate things altogether. It doesn't
matter where your .PST is located. However, you should have just re-used
your original .PST file by opening it in Outlook (File | Open) instead of
importing from it -- there is no need to import from Outlook's native file
format. Plus, you may lose data and settings when you import.

What exactly is not working in your setup?

Default deliver email to a pst file located in My Documents folder

Hi Jocelyn,

Thank you very much. The microsoft website is rather confusing on this issue
with many different pieces of advice. Unfortunaltely, I already imported the
data and now I receive new e-mails twice. How can I fix this?
Also, how can I move teh outlook.pst file back to My Documents, so it is
part of what I backup. Do I loose my settings again?

Thank you for yrou kind help
Ton

First close Outlook. Go to Windows Control Panel, click Mail, and then Show
Profiles. Make sure you only have one profile, then click Properties | Data
Files, and remove all the .PST files from the profile. (If it won't let you
delete all of them, leave one of them there.) Now find your .PST file (the
filename was shown in the Data Files list), and move it to My Documents or
wherever you like.

Now, when you open Outlook, it should complain that it can't find your .PST
file -- tell it where to look. If you still get duplicate e-mails coming
into your Inbox after that, post back.
