Hi,

It is very easy to take backup of Outlook emails. If you try do it manually there are chances of PST file corruption. So better go for some email backup software. They will help you to backup your Outlook data along with settings.

Download some good tool, evaluate it once and then use.

Hi daisho,

It is very innovative idea email backup from Outlook. No buddy knows when corruptions occur? You have lost all important email messages from outlook; take backup of your email outlook data time to time. One way is to take back up e-mail messages is to use the Outlook Auto Archive feature. Archiving means moving messages to an archive folder at regularly scheduled intervals.

Another way is to create a backup file, involve exporting (copying) the contents of the message folder to a Personal Folders file (.PST: Data file that stores your messages and other items on your computer). You can assign a .pst file as default delivery location for e-mail messages. You can use a .pst to organize and back up items for safekeeping). By using an ‘Import and Export Wizard’, it will create the backup .pst file. You can copy the .pst file and copy / write it on CD or DVD / USB drive for safekeeping or to move the data to another computer with Outlook installed.

All the Best!

In order to backup your MS Outlook data, you just need to locate your PST file and keep a copy of it at a safe location. You can also export all data through File=Export option in .pst file.
