Outlook connector is forcing me to upgrade, but won't cooperat
"JSB" wrote in message
... I uninstalled Outlook connector and downloaded version 14 of Outlook Hotmail Connector 64-bit. When I try to install it I receive two messages. The first says, “The 32-bit version of Microsoft Outlook is installed. Download and install the 32-bit version of Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector." So, did you? -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

I just did and installed it and it seems to be working fine. So, now I'm
just curious. Why can't I run the 64 bit program since I have a 64 bit machine? "Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: "JSB" wrote in message ... Outlook connector is forcing me to upgrade, but won't cooperat
So I am making the assumption that if I run the 64 bit program, I would have
to uninstall the 32 bit Microsoft Office Professional and reinstall the 64 bit Microsoft Office Professional, right? Thanks, for your help! ... So I am making the assumption that if I run the 64 bit program, I would have to uninstall the 32 bit Microsoft Office Professional and reinstall the 64 bit Microsoft Office Professional, right? When running Windows 7 64 bit, you can install and use either Office 2010 64 bit or 32 bit and either should work. Office 64 bit, however, doesn't play well with add-ins yet. If you don't have add-ins, you should be able to use the 64 bit versions of Windows, Office, and the Outlook Connector and all should work. So the combos are WIndows 64 bit, Office 64 bit, Outlook Connector 64 bit or Windows 64 bit, Office 32 bit, and Outlook Connector 32 bit. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
