Sometimes, I wish to include a small image inline with the rest of the text
in my emails. However, the quality of the image sent is much poorer than the quality of the image pasted in (or inserted). It appears that the colour depth has been reduced. Does anyone know whey this is happening and how I can correct it please Thanks Neil |

Version of Outlook? What is the image format when you insert it? Are you
using HTML or RTF? What mail client is the recipient using? -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Neil" wrote in message ... Diane sorry I should have given this info from the start.
I'm using Outlook 2002 SP3 and sending using HTML format. The colour depth loss happens no matter which client I send it to, even if I send from one of my email boxes to another and retrieve into the same Outlook inbox. It also happens whether I paste an image from Paint Shop Pro using cut and paste or if I save and insert from disk. As an example, I just pasted an image into a mail with 24141 colours. It had 181 colours when I received it. Same effect when I inserted the image. It appears that the problem is something to do with the paste/insert. If I copy the image into the email and then copy and paste it back into PSP, the colour depth has decreased. Why does outlook decrease the colour depth in this way, and how can I stop it from happening? Thanks Neil "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote in message ... Version of Outlook?
