Default Outlook keep on asking to enter username/password

In one of our PCs, outlook keep on asking to enter username/password.
but after I entered the right username/password, this window popup
again.

so I created new profile in the outlook and even to another PC. but all
the time, this user still have the same problem.

So I guess that's the server-end problem. while I reset the password in
the server, but it did not work.

I have to clue about this problme now. is there any other way to
troubleshoot this problem?

thanks in advance

What format are you using for the username?
You might try the full email address as the username.

Is this your personal account?

Default Outlook keep on asking to enter username/password

This was happening to me since I got my computor almost 2 years ago and about
drove me nuts. Had to continually shut Outlook down. Mysteriously yesterday
it is gone. My husband was on line with tech support for another software
problem refusing to load properly. In a round about way she got to some
screen showing the 'administrator' with 3 boxes checked, but my 'Betty' had
only 1 of the boxes checked. When all three boxes were checked in both my
problem disappeared. Problem now? I have been all over help screens trying
to find out where this was and my husband can't remember at all as the
problem he was working on was very complex as it turned out. I'm trying to
find out where this was also and how to get to it. It has to be in set up
somewhere don't you think. Maybe this will help William solve your problem
and me get to the root of mine.

Bruce

Was still checking and discovered it sounds like a registry error. Go to this
http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?id=290684
and it describes how to do it. My husband purused the article and said it
sounds like what he was walked through. Good Luck. Maybe William can help.
Sounds scary-messing with registries that is.

Thanks all,

I had half sovled this problem by creating a new account and assign the
email box to the new account.

I did not try to change registry since I had test in (2) PCs, both had
the same problem, so it should be user-end prblem but server-end
problem.

I think I m going to use full email box name but not NT account later,
and see this way work or not.

thanks

Bruce Cao
