need help regarding email and permission
I have moved and upgraded my outlook from 2002 to 2007 on a new computer with
new windows. I have had alot of problems and have resolved some of them with the help of this site. THANKS The biggest issue now is I can send emails but cant receive any on the new computer outlook 2007. (pop3) if I open my old outlook 2002 on my old computer they download. I have tried many fixes and cant seem to get the problem fixed. The other issue that may have to do with this is I get the message " you dont have appropriate permission to preform this operation" when I click the send/receive button on the main screen or when I press send/receive in the options sections. i do not have a anti virus running and my emails go out fine. when testing the email set it is fine and no error messages. It is set up exactly like my old email in 2002 on old machine. I have tried scanpst, resetting up email account, scandisk, reinstall office, fix office and more... I really need some help! I have spent about 10 hours on this problem and dont know where to turn after this! -- Thanks a bunch! |

What's on the Errors tab of the Send/Receive status dialogue? How did you create your mail profile? Did you try a new one? How did you move your data from the old machine to the new one and how did you connect that data to the mail profile on the new machine? I have spent about 10 hours on this problem and dont know where to turn after this! If this is a new retail license, then you have 90 days of free support from Microsoft. You could call them. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
