Version of Outlook?
I'd try adding the extended fields
(http://www.slipstick.com/exs/customfields.htm) and filtering on them. If it
fails you could sort on the icon field.

Thank you for your fast answer. I am not really expert at outlook, could you please explain a little more your extended field method.

Thanks again for your help

How to filter only unreplied emails

Follow the instructions at
http://www.slipstick.com/exs/customfields.htm#install (steps 1 - 7) to
install the EXTENDED-PROPERTIES form (linked at the top of that page) and
add the "last verb exec type" field to your view.

It looks like you can't filter or sort by the "last verb exec type" field
but you can group by it - right click on the field name and choose Group by
this field. Messages will be grouped by none, 102, 103, or 104. (This is a
little better than sorting by icon as unaccepted meeting and tasks requests
will be in with the 'none' group, not sorted before/after the replied
to/forwarded icons. )

You could follow the instructions (in the replied to labels section) to
display a friendly name in a custom field but you can't filter, sort or
group by it - it would only serve to spell out what the last action was -
which you can get from looking at the icon.

BTW - if you are willing to add a check to either the quick flag field (to
mark it finished) or to a custom field after replying, you could use a
custom view that filters on either field and hides marked messages. This
won't be as automatic as grouping by the last verb field since you will need
to mark the messages, but it will allow you to hide the messages using a
view.

(I would use the custom field - that way you can use flags for reminders on
messages that were replied to but need action while hiding them using a
view.)

Hi,

I know this is an old post but was wondering if you knew how to do this for outlook 2010 because when i try adding the EXTENDED-PROPERTIES file, outlook tells me that it cannot be done because the posts.ico file cannot be found

thanks
