can't change stationery theme in a new message
Outlook 2007 (entire Office 2007 suite installed at the same time)
One of my users pointed out that she cannot change the stationery theme in a new message she composes (not a reply or forward of another message). I've duplicated the issue on my own machine: open a new message, go to Options, Themes, select a theme, and nothing changes when I type the body of the message. (no default stationery theme set) If I set a default stationary theme first (Tools, Options, Mail Format, Stationery & Fonts, Theme), and THEN open a new mesage, the theme I selected is displayed. But I can't change it by going to Options, Themes, and selecting a different theme - nothing changes. This IS supposed to work, right? Are we doing something incorrectly? Or have we come across a bug? (user has spoken to another user in- house for whom this DOES work) -RAM |

can't change stationery theme in a new message
Does the user for whom this does work use the same steps/message
format/theme? -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. ALWAYS post your Outlook version. After further investigation, it appears to be more a problem of what the user is expecting to see and what the feature actually does. Fonts don't necessarily change when you change themes, and there is no background color - I think she's expecting to see a whole new STATIONERY when she changes themes. I need to play with themes a bit myself, then I can explain it to her. Thanks. -RAM |
