Imap Email Notification
 

I have Outlook 2003 and use IMAP. I have multiple folders that receive new
email in this account. The new mail goes into different folders before it
gets to Outlook due to server side email filtering. I am only notified of
new email in the default IMAP inbox, which never has new email in it, due to
server side filtering again. What I would like to do is be notified by
Outlook when I receive new email in any of these folders without having to
individually select each one. Also, is there a way to make it so that my
server sent mail folder does not display the mail I just sent as new?

No, it is a limitation of IMAP.

Imap Email Notification
 

I had another question at the end of the post, about turning off the unread
count for certain folders, specifically the IMAP sent mail folder. Any
thoughts?

As far as my first request, I have a hard time believing it is a limitation
of IMAP as the IMAP email program I use on my Palm to acces my email when I'm
out of the office has the ability to notify me on a specific folder basis,
and to turn off notification on specific folders, i.e. sent mail, as well.
Sounds like a Microsoft programming limitiation to me, not an IMAP limitation.
