Are there any issues with syncing these. I am considering the
purchase of the IPOD now. I am interested in Calendar and Contact info

iTunes can be used to sync with Outlook.

AFAIK, it works ok. Visit Apple's forums
http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=1144 and you can see what
problems others may be experiencing.
