Spelling glitch? Outlook 2007, Vista Home Premium, SP1

Sometimes when composing an e-mail I will see the red curvy line under a
word denoting a mispelled word. When I right click, instead of getting the
Spell Checker, I see the Signature choice option. If I shut down Outlook
2007, restart it, I then will see (when right clicking a mispelled word)
what I expect to see, the Spell Checker.

I think this could be related to the computer waking up from Sleep Mode but
have no proof.

Ideas? Suggestions? Thanks! Dave Horne

it usually happens when you type in the signature field accidently. Add --
(two dashes) to the line above the sig and use a blank sig (with just these
two dashes) for account where you don't normally use a sig.

Diane, thanks for the info and tip. I'll bear this in mind for the next
time. I played around with typing within the signature field and the
signature option does indeed appear. If I move the cursor up a line or two,
type a mispelled word, I then see the Spell Checker. Now I understand this.

Thanks! Dave Horne
