Spelling glitch? Outlook 2007, Vista Home Premium, SP1
Sometimes when composing an e-mail I will see the red curvy line under a
word denoting a mispelled word. When I right click, instead of getting the Spell Checker, I see the Signature choice option. If I shut down Outlook 2007, restart it, I then will see (when right clicking a mispelled word) what I expect to see, the Spell Checker. I think this could be related to the computer waking up from Sleep Mode but have no proof. Ideas? Suggestions? Thanks! Dave Horne |

it usually happens when you type in the signature field accidently. Add --
(two dashes) to the line above the sig and use a blank sig (with just these two dashes) for account where you don't normally use a sig. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. Diane, thanks for the info and tip. I'll bear this in mind for the next time. I played around with typing within the signature field and the signature option does indeed appear. If I move the cursor up a line or two, type a mispelled word, I then see the Spell Checker. Now I understand this. Thanks!
