Default Merge 2 Contact Lists within Outlook 2007

Hi all,

2-PC's- XP Pro SP3

I recently migrated my Outlook 2007 .PST file to my new PC using the
Import/Export utility within Outlook itself. Now for some reason I have two
"Contacts lists". One is empty and the other has all of my contacts.

When I create a new email the empty "Contacts list " seems to be the
default. Is there a way to merge the two together or make the list with the
actual contacts my default?

Thanks,

Frank

open the address book (tools menu or Ctrl+shift+B) and go to its tools, options menu. Delete the contacts folder that is empty.

In future, do NOT use the import/export function to move data between two
instances of Outlook.

Default Merge 2 Contact Lists within Outlook 2007

Hi again ,

Thanks Gordon for the import/export info.

I still have not solved my original problem with the contacts. Now when I
create a new message and click the "To" buttton the "Contacts" windows
appears. The First Contacts that appear in the "Address Book" window is
empty. I have to click the drop down arrow to the second entry named
"Contacts". That is where all of the contacts are.

How can I correct this?

Thanks,

Frank

It's right where Diane said:
Address Book Tools Options...
You can't miss the Remove button that lets you delete invalid references to
Contacts Folders.
