Eliminated errors sending from wrong POP3 email account

I have Outlook 2002 and have a few different POP3 email accounts set up.
These accounts are very different in nature and I want to make sure I don't
accidentally send an email from the "wrong" account. I've already
accidentally sent emails from the default account that should not have been
sent from that account.

Is there any way to help make sure I don't make future mistakes sending from
the wrong account?

Possibly setting up a confirmation asking me to verify which account to send
the email from before sending.

Or any other suggestions to help not make future mistakes would be greatly
appreciated !!!!!

Thanks in advance !!!

Not sure if there is a way to stop you from initially sending from the wrong
account. One wacky idea would be to create an account to set as the default
which has bogus SMTP (outgoing mail) server info so that if you don't
specifically choose an account the mail item would get stuck in your Outbox
since it couldn't be sent.

Hmmm, well, that idea is actually better then the way I currently have it,
but not perfect. Thanks for the idea.

I'd love to find a better solution if anyone has any other ideas.

Thanks.

Vince's idea is good for new messages, but for replying it may not work if
you wish to reply to a message received by one account with a different
account. My personal opinion is that the best way is to train yourself to
notice what account you[re using. It can be done. I've done it myself.

Yes, Vince's idea is better then not doing anything for me, but I was really
hoping there would be a better way.

Has anyone else found a better way to make sure they send from the "correct"
account in Outlook 2002?

Thanks in advance.

I too have been scouring the web looking for something, and I came across
this: http://www.standss.com/ms/sg.asp. Look at mistake #6 in their list.
It does cost $40, but for the sake of professionality, it seems like a minor
price to pay. I don't personally use this, yet, but I came across your
thread in the process of looking for myself.

You can use that link I originally posted. However, I am going to try and
write my own Add-In. I will let you know if I have success.

And $0 is an even better price to pay. All it requires is using the brain
God gave you and paying attention when you click.

One mistake it too many for me moving forward so I don't think the $0 option
and simply trying to not to mess up will do it for me...lol.

The $0 option and creating a "dummy" default account (forcing me to pick)is
the best option so far.
