Outlook won't minimize
This has never been an issue before, but suddenly I notice on my new Vista
laptop that Outlook 2007 won't minimize properly. Basically, when I try to use the Explorer Toolbar to switch between open windows, if Outlook is open it won't minimize. Clicking on other windows does nothing. If I manually minimize Outlook, the other windows will all maximize and minimize like normal when I click on the toolbar. Only when Outlook is on top do I have this issue. |

Check your Add Ins to see if there's anything installed that integrates with
Outlook that isn't standard. You can disable them, then add them in one at a time but test Outlook inbetween each one to see which one is the culprit. -- Kathleen Orland - MVP Outlook Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ http://www.howto-outlook.com/ "shyriah" wrote: This has never been an issue before, but suddenly I notice on my new Vista laptop that Outlook 2007 won't minimize properly. I checked, and the only one that I can tell isn't standard is the Symantec
PST backup (oplstshadou.dll). And for a while now it's been behaving, but then again today it started up with this "I've gotta be on top" behavior. Even using a two monitor setup doesn't change that, and I didn't change anything on the add-ins. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as this is giving me grey hair. :) "K. Start Outlook in safe mode: start run outlook.exe
If the behaviour goes away, it's definitely one of your Add Ins or COMs. Let me know if running Outlook in safe mode changes the window behaviour. -- Kathleen Orland - MVP Outlook Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ http://www.howto-outlook.com/ "shyriah" wrote: I checked, and the only one that I can tell isn't standard is the Symantec PST backup (oplstshadou.dll).
