Default Lock view settings in OL2007?

Hi, kids....in OL2007, if I create a custom view for my mail folders, it's
all too easy to muck it up by clicking on a column head & re-sorting it
accidentally....and then, re-selecting the custom view from the menu does
not revert to my chosen settings. Is there any way to fix it so I can always
get back to the view I wanted, without having to go back in and modify the
view *again* ?

I don't care about locking the view settings on a *folder* to any particular
view. Just the custom view settings themselves. Within the view. Am I
sounding repetitious yet?

Default Lock view settings in OL2007? And OL2003...

Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but I want the same thing for Outlook
2003... I set the custom view of my Inbox how I want it, sorting etc., then
I accidentally click on a header and it re-sorts the mailbox and loses my
settings. It's a PITA to go back into the custom view settings and fix the
sort, etc.

Pilot error to be sure but I'd really like to 'lock' the view somehow so
clicking around can't change it.

Anyone? TIA,

Yeah, a feature to lock sorting or disable sorting by clicking on the header
would be really useful. I second this.

I have seen this request around, it must be a common problem. A padlock
feature would be nice.
