Sometimes when I get a video by email the computer logs off when I try to
play the video. Is this a computer problem or is it a virus? How can I fix
it? Any help would be most appreciated.

I doubt it's a virus, unless the video is the virus (new run files you
aren't expecting).

Assuming it's a legit file you are expecting:
Save it to the hard drive. Does it run properly? If not, the problem is the
software it uses to playback.

Thanks very much for that Diane. Can you recommend a program?

What type of file is it? (AVI? Something else?) Usually Windows Media
Player is a good first choice, provided you have the proper codec loaded.
