Syncing outlook with my phone
I purchased outlook 2007 yesterday to sync with my phone. I have all of the
software installed and I completed a synchronization in hopes of transferring all of my contacts and schedule that was on my phone over to my computer. However, when I synchronized, all of my contacts and calendar that I had saved on my phone was erased. Luckily, I still have my old phone to retrieve my contacts. But, this leads me to wonder if it synced right or do I misunderstand how synchronization works? I've always thought that syncing exchanged information from both devices, not just transfer information from one to the other. Am I misunderstanding how it works or did it sync incorrectly? Thanks, ozzmosis |

Your question relates to settings for the synch software you are using, not
Outlook. Outlook does not synch. You may be able to get help here from someone familiar with your synch software but you forgot to tell us what you are using. I'm sorry that I forgot that. I have a Moto Q 9c with the Windows Mobile
software. I am using ActiveSync to sync with my Windows XP desktop computer at home. If there is any other information needed, just let me know. Thanks again, ozzmosis |

When you created your partnership, you should have been able to specify which device (the phone or the PC) was the source of the date. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
