within outlook 2003, how is a group email setup, ie. assume sending to two(2) persons
and typing in just one email address

how is a group email setup?
 

You can setup a distribution list in the Contacts folder. That list will
contain multiple addresses so when you choose the list, the item will get
sent to each of those addresses.
