I hate Outlook and think I made a huge mistake. I was wondering if there is
anyway I can send my inbox back to my yahoo account. Since I set this up
yesterday it took all of my old inbox messages and deleted them from yahoo.

Ammend the outlook mail settings to leave a copy on the server.

That is how *all* POP3 e-mail clients work by default. They retrieve
the mail (RETR command) and then follow by deleting it from the
mailbox on the server (DELE command). That is how POP is defined to
work. If you don't want to delete your mails from your mailbox after
retrieving a copy then investigate the options in your e-mail client
on leaving those mails on your server after retrieving a copy of them.

Regardless of which POP e-mail client you used, and because they
default to the "RETR then DELE" sequence, your mails are no longer in
your mailbox up on the mail host. To get them back in your mailbox
means you will have to send your local copies in your e-mail client to
your e-mail address. That is, send those mails to yourself (but don't
poll again with your e-mail client which will RETR and DELE again or
first configure your e-mail client to not do the DELE command; i.e.,
have it leave the messages on the server).

You never explained why you need to leave a duplicate of a message up
in your mailbox on the server after you already yanked a copy of it
and have it available locally in your e-mail program. POP is not a
very good protocol if you want to access your mailbox using multiple
e-mail clients (while travelling or from different hosts) or by
sharing the mailbox amongst multiple users. IMAP is better suited for
that. I don't remember seeing Yahoo Mail supporting IMAP. If Yahoo
Mail does not support IMAP, you're stuck with configuring your e-mail
client to leave messages on the server. I've heard that the iPhone or
Yahoo Mobile [cellphone] users can use an IMAP server
(imap.next.mail.yahoo.com) at Yahoo Mail but it requires a special
login sequence. I doubt IMAP is available for any of the freebie
Yahoo Mail accounts. IMAP is a more expensive protocol than POP
regarding the resources it consumes and why many e-mail providers only
give you POP access to your mailbox.
