Default Language problem

Hello, I was helping a friend on her Win XP home, outlook express mail. She
tells me she brings up her email (outlook express 6) and then clicks on a
button and she is able to type the email in German. She also mentioned that
four of her keys on the keyboard {:"? change into German characters, the
umlaut being one. I simply moved her icon from the top of the screen to the
bottom. I did not delete anything except for a solitaire game. She says
her button is missing and she can't write her sister in Germany. I went
back over, checked her outlook express, the encoding has lots of languages,
but not German, I checked the Office file and reloaded the language portion
but did not see anywhere to create a short cut as she previously had. I
have never heard of this button before and if anyone knows how to retrieve
this button and where it might be located would really be appreciated!!!

OE isn't related to Outlook. You'll want to ask in microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general.
