Hello
We have a user with e-mail (exchange 2k3). We made a new user for him and added the primary SMTP-address of his old user as an alias to his new user. The problem is that many users have his email cached in Outlook, so when they start typing his name in the TO-field his name pops up and they select it. That mail is then delivered to his old account and not to his new one. If they look him up in the address list it's delivered to his new users. His old user is disabled and hidden from exchange address list. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Regards Per-Torben Sørensen |

Well, two really. 1) Send a mail to everyone in the gal and give them the instructions on how to remove the bad user (start typing the address, use the arrow keys to move down to select the user, hit the delete key). 2) Set up a logon script that will delete the users nk2 file, thus removing *all* cached addresses. Obviously too late, but, why in the world would you create a new user for someone? What couldn't be changed/fixed short of a new account? -- -f.h. |
