Yes. Click the little speaker icon to the right of the reminder period and
browse to choose any .wav sound from those stored on your computer.

However, I did "just" find the following steps:

Click "Tools"
Click "Options"
Click the "Other" tab
Click the "Advanced Options" button
Click the "Reminder Options" button
Check the "Play Reminder Sound" checkbox
Browse and choose any .wav file available on your computer
(generally under C:\Windows\Media\ are a number of .wav files to choose from)

Thanks again for your help. Tis' appreciated.

That was extremely helpful.

I am using Outlook 2007, I have a feeling you're using an older version? A
screenshot of one of my Outook appointments is attached.

But thanks to your last memo, I discovered that if a reminder time other
than “none” is set, I can simply click on the down arrow to the right of the
reminder time and the very last item of the drop-down list is a “sound”. If
a user clicks on it, he can change or pick a sound for reminder notifications.

Thanks so much Jack. It folks like you that make a difference in this world.

Robert
I have attached a screenshot of my computer which I have specially set up to
show you what I meant, in case you want a simpler method than the one you
seem to have used successfully.

It shows a page of my Outlook Calendar in week mode with an item at 6pm
today showing a reminder to record some Tavener music from radio. On the
stripy left edge of the 6pm reminder panel you can just see an hourglass icon
- normally that would show as a cross hair cursor if you hover over the left
hand of the panel. Whilst the cross hair is showing you double click and the
detailed reminder dialog box opens as shown top right; I have drawn a red
arrow pointing to the little icon on which you click to browse and choose a
wave file. That icon only becomes active if you have ticked the little box on
the left of the word Reminder and set a time period. The way you have set it
up I suspect you have set a default sound but I think you can have a
different sound file for each reminder the way I have shown you.(Could be
wrong about that!)

I do hope that is clear enough for you. Good luck with it.

Regards, Jack
