Default Our Application Makes Call to Mapi32.dll

This may take a while to convey so please continue reading and bear
with me.

We are currently evaluating automated testing softwa QA Wizard
Pro. For the most part, it seems to be OK, but we've run into a sort
of snag.

With this testing software, you can connect to an already running
application from within their scripting capabilities. Our application
contains an email option, which then displays an outlook mail window.
When this occurs, there is an Outlook.exe process listed in Task
Manager - Processes, but Outlook does not appear to be a running
Application in Task Manager.

As a result of this, within QA Wizard Pro, it does not see Outlook so
we can't connect properly to this mail window process to complete the
script.

No, if we have the actual Outlook application before recording/running
any scripts, we are then able to see Outlook as a running application
from within QA Wiz Pro.

Their support tells us that QA Wiz Pro only sees apps with visible
GUIs so this is why we can't see the process initiated from our
application.

I checked with development who indicated that at attempted emailing
from our app, a call is made to Mapi32.dll.

Does this sound about right? Will a call to this .dll bring up a mail
window (email creation window)? Are there any arguements that need to
be passed?

I'm just wondering if there is a way to deal with the call to
Mapi32.dll from within the QA Wiz Pro scripts without having to have
Outlook started beforehand.

If anyone has any questions about the above before they can comment,
please do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks in advance!!
