Default Adding newsgroup in Outlook 2003

I have a new machine with Outlook 2003 and would like to add microsoft
newsgroup to Outlook.
In Outlook, I went to "View" - "Toolbars" - "Customize". Then I went to the
"Commands" tab, and select "Go" under "Categories".
Under "Commands" I selected "News" and drag it to the toolbar at the top. I
then click on the menu "News" and add Microsoft newsgroup
(msnews.microsoft.com) and added some newsgroup to it.
When I am done, I click on the menu "News" again, but this time everytime I
click on that menu, instead of bring up the newsgroup, it opens up a windows
explorer with a bunch of files in it. So, I decided to start all over. I
drag the "News" menu back to the "View" - "Toolbars" - "Customize" -
"Commands" - "Go".
After I do that, when I bring up "View" - "Toolbars" - "Customize" -
"Commands" - "Go", I no longer see "News" anymore.
Where did it go and how can I add "News" to my Outlook 2003 ?
In my old machine I have "News" under the menu "Go", which I did not see on
the new machine even after customizing the toolbar.

Thank you.

In Internet Options, Outlook Express must be selected as the default
newsreader. Outlook uses OE for newsgroups since OL doesn't actually have a
newsreader. Look up News in OL help for more info.

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, click the "Don't ask me again" box and then click the No button.

You may need to reset the menu or toolbar using Tools, customize.
