How do you turn off the virus scanning feature of the OLC?
It scans the msg, then the reply or forward draft and then again when it
actually sends.
It scans the same msg up to 4 times....Waisting time!
That's what I have NOD32 for!

XPPro SP2, ZoneAlarm, NOD 32, CounterSpy
MS Office '03 Small Business
Outlook Connector Version 12.0.4518.1068

Outlook does not scan for viruses... if you means the connector, virus would
be a function in your MSN or Live acct and you'll have to change the
settings online. FWIW, you don't need NOD scanning email either. It causes
more problems than it solves.

I understand that Outlook itself doesn't scan....It's the OLC that does the
scanning.
Thanks for the tip on how to turn it off....It was painfully slow!!

I've searched both MSN & Live Hotmail, but was unable to find any such
setting in neither, nor any mention of the OLConnector.
Can you guide me in the right direction.

Do you have a full MSN subscription or just the email acct? AFAIK, its only
in the full subscription... I have never seen my connector acct do any
scanning so I know its not happening by the client. If it's not the service
provided by MSN then its something else installed on your system - or even
NOD doing it.

I have MSN Premium, which is a pay account, since ~2002.

I wish we could attach screenshots, because the popup box clearly states
that the OLC is scanning for viruses.

there is a picture library at www.xsolive.com you can use if you don't have
a website to post them on.

I no longer have msn premium but if I did I would look in the AV/security
options.

Nope. I've got it installed and it doesn't scan.
