Default Colorizing emails sent to alternate domain

Hi there everyone,

I am using Exchange 2003 Server with Outlook 2003. I have two domains and
receive email from both domains in the same mailbox.

I want to use the "Organize" feature in Outlook 2003 to apply a different
color to emails sent to a specific domain. For some reason this doesn't
work. I can setup everything under "Tools Organize Using Colors" but
when I type in the email address I want to apply coloring to it just
resolved to my name.

normal
green (or some other color)'

However both of these just resolve to "Joe Public" in the "organize using
color" tool. When I send an email (from an outside Gmail account) to my
Exchange mailbox no special coloring is applied.

Please let me know how I can resolve this.

Thanks,

The Fish.

Thanks! Actually, reading your question just solved one of my problems - how
to apply color formatting. I wanted to mark a certain person (myself [and my
several email accounts]) in blue, so they stood out and I could quickly do
whatever I wanted to with them - read them, delete them, etc.

In my Inbox, I clicked on tools, then organize, then using colors. I typed
in each way my name and/or email address appeared, and then assigned a color
to it. They appeared to have "taken", because they are now blue in my inbox.

While the "Ways to Organize Inbox" is still open, you click on "automatic
formatting" in the upper right-hand corner. Your choices will be listed in
the resulting "rules for this view".

I have Outlook 2007. I don't know how different that might be from your
situation.

you can't use organize with email addresses, you need to do in the views
dialog
