Anyone know if they plan to add better HTML/CSS support in Office 2007 SP2?
SP1 did nothing to improve the HTML rendering engine. Not including support
for things like CSS background images is silly, as it has little to do with
any critical security ramifications.

It's crazy as I still receive newsletters from _Microsoft_ which display
horribly in Outlook 2007 (a year after OL2007's release). It seems they're
totally clueless of how awful the HTML layout is in OL2007.

AFAIK, no, HTML rendering changes are not a priority in Outlook 2007.

Too bad...I continually get emails from many different newsletters/email
receipts, etc (even from Microsoft) which display awfully in Outlook 2007.

Don't users view this as a big problem? Or worse, have we just come to
accept, after being beaten down by shattered software promises for years,
that often times certain basic functionality in our software just doesn't
work?
