Hi,
when Outlook 2003 (11.8169.8172) downloads mails from my IMAP account it processes all rules first and then moves all junk mail to the junkmail folder. Due to that behaviour a copy of Junk E-Mails are moved to my personel inbox. What options do I have to configure Outlook so that rules will be processed after the junkmail filter. Thanks in advance. - Bodo |

As far as I have been able to tell, "rules" only apply to messages that Outlook decides to send to your Inbox. I've tried and tried and TRIED to get "rules" to apply to my Junk Mail, to no avail... like, I would LOVE to have it automatically marked "read" and then deleted. |

I found the following on Outlook 2003 Help and How-to
"Rules and the Junk E-mail Filter Rules are now designed so that they do not act on messages that are moved to the Junk E-mail folder. This keeps e-mail you mark as junk in the correct place rather than moving it to another folder according to a rule that would otherwise apply" This feature is introduced with Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 1. However it don't work with Outlook 2003 SP3 Any ideas who to troubleshoot? Thanks in advance Bodo |

Do yourself a favor and uninstall and reinstall Office 2003, then install Service Pack 2 and wait until Microsoft fixes this train wreck. It's been 3 months since it was released. A solution expected at any time... |
