Default Two Outlook buttons in Quick Launch

Ocassionally, Outlook 2003 (or Windows XP?) just decides to put an icon in
the Quick Launch area of the Windows Taskbar. The problem is, there's
already one there. First, it's kind of obnoxious for Outlook or Windows to
just do this without permission and, second, it's kind of stupid to do it
when one already exists. But the main thing is, I'd like to find a way to
stop it. Any help would be appreciated.

No, this is just happening during normal use. I see it on my machine and I
see it on my wife's machine.

That happens after EVERY updated.

Just delete one of them and move on.

No, on my wife's machine it happens fairly regularly. So I find myself
deleting it and *trying* to move on, but Outlook keeps pulling me back. g
