Hi, I have to go through three Deleted Items folders in order to delete all the cr*p. Is there an Outlook option or a rule that someone can suggest to set up, in a step-by-step fashion, that will combine these three into one? Thanks, Feedscrn |

By default Outlook only has 1 deleted items folder. What are the other 2?
Are they in 2 other personal folders? "feedscrn" wrote in message ups.com... Hi, I have to go through three Deleted Items folders in order to delete all the cr*p. If possible, I want to deal with one real, or one rules-based virtual, Deleted Items folder. |

One under Large Personal Folders, and one in Personal Folders 1 group of folders. You have 2 Personal Folders? If possible, I want to deal with one real, or one rules-based virtual, Deleted Items folder. Outlook can open multiple Exchange mailboxes (if you have proper permission) and multiple Personal Folders but there can only be 1 default delivery location, either Exchange mailbox or Personal Folder. When you delete items in Outlook, they are stored in the Deleted Items folder (at the default delivery location). The fact that you have something in the other 2 (non default) Deleted Items folder makes me think that someone/some rule may be redirecting mail to those folders. |

Try enabling AutoArchive on the two PST-based Deleted Items folders and configure it to delete items more than, say, two days old. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
