I am having the same issue.
We just upgraded from 2003 to 2007. We have over 50 accounts and are using exchange 2007 and only one person seems to be having this issue so far. It is only with meeting requests, not emails. After you have entered all information, and click send, an error is displayed and the To line is full of semi colons and the names have dissappeared. the error appears in the event log as source Outlook event number 25 but no information can be found related to this error. "Could not complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid." I have tried recreating the group, creating new groups with different names, diagnostics on Office 2007 and nothing seems to fix it. Thanks, -- Stacy "Gordon" wrote: "Thomas" wrote in message ... Hi Thomas,
We had the same problem with Office 2007 and Exchange 2007. After we renewed the Outlook profile, the problem was solved. I hope this option will solve your problem too. with kind regards -- bosje "Thomas" wrote: I have Outlook 2007. When you say "renewed the profile", do you mean that you exported the old
profile and recreated it? -- Stacy MCDST "bosje" wrote: Hi Thomas, We had the same problem with Office 2007 and Exchange 2007. After we renewed the Outlook profile, the problem was solved. No I didn't export the old profile.
In Office 2007, I started the mlcfg32.cpl by doubleclicking the file. You can find this file in the c:\program files\Microsoft office\office12 folder. Then you click on the button view profiles. Now you can create a new profile and set the option to start Outlook with that profile as the standard profile. If the user had added any mailboxes or personal folders, you have to add them again, because all the personal settings are gone. the settings for delegation are saved on the exchange server, so they will still work. -- bosje "srd" wrote: When you say "renewed the profile", do you mean that you exported the old profile and recreated it? -- Stacy MCDST "bosje" wrote: Hi Thomas, We had the same problem with Office 2007 and Exchange 2007. I have the same issue and when I created a new profile it did not resolve it.
I am also experiencing this with almost all of my 200 users. It isn't a practical solution for me to recreate 200 profiles in order to use Outlook properly after the upgrade. Is there possibly another solution? "bosje" wrote: No I didn't export the old profile. In Office 2007, I started the mlcfg32.cpl by doubleclicking the file. Hello,
I beleieve this happens to 2003/2007 Ms Outlook users who are using exchange 2007. I had one user who's distribution list keeps changing to ;;;;;;;;;;. This may happen if your default data folder resides locally meaning that you are downloading all the e-mails to a *.pst file. The way I overcame this problem was to change the default data folder to a *.ost file. an *.ost file has the word [Mailbox -username] infront of them. Once I changed the default data folder to reside on the exchange the dissappearing problem dissappeared. By right this should not happen...we'll wait for Micrsofts patches in the mean while you can use the above solution.
