Mine also has a Junk folder on the server...

The server I use provides a folder named "SPAM" and that's where it dumps
junk mail detected by its own antispam filter. After connecting with
Outlook, I also see a "Junk E-mail" folder matching Outlook's folder's
name.

Yep, I've got a Spam one as well....

Of course I have also 2 folders

1) SPAM from my internet provider
2) Junk E-mail from Outlook

it could be fine to say to outlook "please use SPAM folder as Junk-Email
forlder" but this seems to be impossible (I hope to be wrong ...)

An other problem is that in "Preferred folders" I have no evidence of new
msgs, while a sond is saying me that there are 1 or more new nessages ...
any idea about this ?

Thanks to all

Alberto

You are correct. You cannot adjust which folder Outloook uses for Junk
E-mail.

of new msgs, while a sond is saying me that there are 1 or more new

Not at the moment. I don't have access to my OL 2007 system right now. If
I get the chance, I'll look tonight.

I can't find anything in Outlook 2007 called "Preferred Folders". Do you
have a non-English version?

In my case, it does create the Junk mail folder on the server side.

Last night I set up an IMAP account with Outlook 2007 and it appears
you're correct. It seems to have created that folder on my server as
well. I'll test it again and see if it's consistent.

It was. I deleted the Junk E-mail folder from the server and as soon as I
reconnected with Outlook, it created the folder on the server again.
