SLOOOOOOOOOW Startup
Have a user used Outlook 2000.
When she started it up, it took almost 5 minutes to start I tried pretty much all I know to repair the issue, new profile, new PST etc. Eventually, I uninstalled that version, and tried Office XP, and the version of Outlook did the same thing. Any ideas how this can be resolved short of wiping the drive? Any install I do, "imports" the settings. Thanks, JM. |

None now.
I have removed it all for testing. No response. "Ben M. Schorr, MVP" wrote in message ... What anti-virus software are you using? -- -Ben- Ben M. Non, I disabled, uninstalled all the extras.
Got down to just the basic OS, and added Outlook. I wanted to remove all remnants, as it seems there is always something for it to "import" I did look through the registry to try and remove it all, after using Control Panel to uninstall it. When I install Outlook (even free standing version) it looks to "import settings" J "Ben M. Schorr, MVP" wrote in message ... No special add-ins? Desktop Search indexing messages? -- -Ben- Ben M. I pared it down to 26 MB.
I ended up renaming/adding PST file, then removing Office and cleaning registry of any/all Outlook remnants, and reinstalling the Office package. Once I reinstalled Office again, I added the old PST as a personal folder for access when needed. All seems to be working ok now. Thanks "Ben M. Schorr, MVP" wrote in message ...
