Using Outlok 2007 on Windows XP. I have used other e-mail programs and now I
have a situation that I don't understand. I signed up at a web page for graphics called CrossDaily. Evidently that entered me to receive a free weekly newsletter. When I receive the newsletter I either delete it or briefly review it. As I learned after several weeks this disposition of the newsletter resulted in a reply e-mail being sent from m PC back to CrssDaily. When I noticed the messages in my Outbox I went to the Sent Messae box and looked at one: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thank you for sending me your email with the subject "CrossDaily Update - August 2, 2007". I really want to receive your email. In an effort to eliminate junk email, I am using ZoneAlarm Security Suite. ZoneAlarm Security Suite has placed your message on hold. Please click the link below so you will be added to my Allowed people list, I will receive your email, and we will be able to communicate freely going forward. http://c.mailfrontier.net/o/en/3aeffc089d/ryan%40trinityhills.org If you can not click on the link above, copy and paste the URL above directly into your browser. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- From the text I gather my ZoneAlarm stopped the send. Since I never intentionally sent this e-maill, is this a feature of Outlook I need to understand and deal with? How can it be deactivated. I, for one, don't like my computer doing things I an unaware of. Someone who knows what is happening please fill me in. |

I'm not getting my concerns explained right. I'm not concerned about Zone
Alarm stopping an outgoing message. I'm thankful it did stop the message. I never sent the message and don't know how it was sent from my computer. My concern is that, unknown to me, a message tried to leave my computer without my authorization. If some feature of Outlook will allow a vendor or other agency the capability to use my computer to send messages, then that sounds to me like spyware and should be illegal. If not illegal, it must be stopped for me and my computer. I want to know if Outlook has a feature that allows a third party to automaticaly send a message without my expressed approval and how I can deactivate that Outlook feature?
