I have 2 users that logon to a terminal server to use Office. They are
trying to open a custom form which is stored in an organizational forms library in Exchange. The user gets the following error "The form requried to view this message cannot be displayed" I have been through all of the MS articles and cleared cache, deleted cache file etc etc but it is not fixing the problem. This is really frustrating! There are other users on the terminal server that can open the forms without any problems. Also if I try and create a new custom form and save it in the user's personal folder, I get the same error opening the form. It seems that I cannot open any custom form no matter where they are stored. I am beginning to think this problem relates to a corruption in the user's profile. Does anyone have any ideas what else I can try? Please help. This is driving me mad :-( Sarah |

Check the permissions on the user's Forms folder. Without permission to save items there, the forms cache can't operate.

Thanks Sue but the user does appear to have access to this folder
C:\Documents and Settings\nbassett\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Forms Is there a way to turn off caching to see if the cache is the problem? Hi Sue
I have also noticed that when I clear the cache the frmcache.bak file is re-created. It is almost as though there is something else preventing the form from loading. Are you clearing the cache by using the Outlook interface or by deleting the complete contents of the Forms folder?

I have been using the clear cache option from Outlook. Also I found another
post which suggested copying the FRMCACHE file from a working version. I have tried both but to no avail "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" wrote in message ... I would suggest that you completely empty the user's Forms folder.

Have you tried repairing the Outlook installation on that machine? Or a new mail profile for the user? Sometimes this error is a red herring and unrelated to forms at all.
