Default .pst Recovery

I had one of those major failures that drive us mad. I got the hated message
that something was wrong with the .pst file and to run "Inbox Repair Tool".
I ran SCANPST.EXE and it seemed to slowly work it's way through Phase 1,
slowing as it proceeded. Phase 4 also looked like it completed, but went
faster
as it neared the end, then gave me the message "An error has occured which
caused the scan to be stopped. No changes have been made to the scanned
file."
The .pst file was very long (2 MB), I never throw anything away.

Are there any other tools that might help recovery of all my past email and
contact information?

Regards,

Craig

If you're using an ANSI PST (i.e., Outlook 2002 or earlier), you've exceeded
the maximum PST size. See this:
