Delayed sending of emails

Does my computer have to be on to send delayed sending of email messages/ I
will be out of town and my computer off - so I assume that the message would
not go out . Right?

That's right. But many email providers support that feature. If someone
sends an email to you during your absence this mails will be replied
automatically with an message that you can define yourself. Log in to
your account and see wether your provider does support this feature.
