"MS Office Outlook 2003 has encountered a problem and needs to close.." I am totally unable to open Outlook, even in Safe Mode. On occasion, it ask if I want to run the "Detect and Repair" but it runs it for XP Proffesional Edition, but I have XP HOME EDITION installed. The below is copied from System Information [OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600 OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation] Also, it brings up the CONFIGURATION OUTLOOK - Migrating Settings, then the usual "encountered a problem and needs to close" appears. I don't know if you can post screenshots here, but I have added them just in case. IT PROBABLY IS USEFUL TO NOTE THAT A SHORT WHILE AGO WHILST TRYING OUT MOZILLA'S EMAIL CLIENT THUNDERBIRD - I SOMEHOW MANAGED TO DELETE MY OUTLOOK PERSONAL FOLDERS (CALENDAR, CONTACTS ETC) I AM DESPERATE FOR HELP. Detect & Repair, using the Office CD, not Win cd
However if you deleted your pst (data file) it is also posible you corrupted your Outlook Profile "2moon2" wrote in message oups.com... If you dont have the cd's you are probably up the creek
If a retail edition & you can provide proof of purchase then MS can supply replacements. However if OEM, then contact 'that' supplier "2moon2" wrote in message ups.com...
