Windows Mail is the replacement for Outlook Express on Windows Vista - use that.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, D asked:

Same still. Outlook never has and never will have an NNTP (network news
transfer protocol) handler. It merely called Outlook Express when the
News button was used in Outlook, so the effect is just the same as you
clicking on an OE button in the QuickLaunch toolbar.
