Can't Import Calendar Items from Excel

Outlook 2003 and Excel 2003 -- I have a standard Excel file in a format that
I have used countless times before for import into Outlook. It's fields are
standard stuff:

Subject
Start Date
Start Time
End Time
Location

And the mapping engine during Import lines them all up correctly. But the
information simply refuses to get added to the Calendar. My dates are all
2007, I have verified that it is being imported to the current calendar, and
I have tried both XLS and CSV. I can't get this oh-so-simple task to
complete.

There is some gotcha that is getting me. Can anyone speculate on what it
might be...?

First, the columns must match exactly what Outlook expects. Second, in a
..xls file, you must specify a named range fro which to import.

Ah, naming the range was the ticket! Many thanks...
