I've had this problem for about a year. No idea what I did to cause
it or how to fix it. I don't have any problems elsewhere with copy and paste. Running Windows XP SP2 Tablet Edition. Normal behaviour is of course...select item to copy...example email from list view (e.g. inbox), copy it to clipboard, open destination (e.g. new or existing calendar item), paste, icon representing email object appears in destination. For me if I do this what is copied into the destination is text...containing the values of the columns displayed in my inbox for the copied email...e.g. the recipient of the email, the subject of the email, the date and time and size of the email! If however, I open the destination calendar item prior to copying the item from the inbox it works as it should, and an email icon representing the email object appears. This behaviour is entirely consistent with any source list and any destination object (HTML or Rich Text. If the destination object is not open at the time of the copy the clipboard only gets the text desription of the source object...not the object itself. Any ideas how to fix this? |
