I am using Outlook 2007 and it worked fine until -
I selected a document in 'MyDocuments' and right clicked and selected 'Send to Email Recipient' It went to my Outbox but appeared to be stuck there and not sent. Did not appear in 'Sent Items' folder at all but I discovered that it did send, each time I checked my email! I have run a test on the account and it was good. I have deleted the email account and setup a new one and same problem. Re-boot etc. makes no difference. Problem noted in forum at http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/...7208&SiteID=17 Is anyone aware of a patch or workaround? I am now using MSMail and would prefer to use the product I paid a lot of money for. ![]() |

The message was 667kb.
Using a pop3 email account that had no prior issues. The smtp server is working. Thanks for the link. Good info. I can delete these messages without a problem. It is just that it appears to unsent as it remains in the Outbox and each time a send/receive is done, it sends it again but still remains in the Outbox. Thanks for taking time to respond! I ended up sending a message to Microsoft to find out why I was having this
same issue, as there appears to be no resolve. I received numerous tips from the expert, and I am copying the one that worked for me, sort of. "Method 2: Outlook in Safe Mode ===================================== Then, let's start Outlook in Safe Mode by the following method to check whether the issue persists in Outlook without extensions, preview pane, or toolbar customization: 1. Click , and click Run. 2. In the Open box, type: "Outlook /safe" (without the quotation marks). Notes: There is a space character between Outlook and the forward slash (/). 3. Click OK. 4. If the problem doesn't occur this time, please select Tools-Trust Center-Add-ins-select COM Add-ins and click Go button-unselect all add-ins and click OK. Then select Tools-Trust Center-Add-ins-select Exchange Client Extensions and click Go button-unselect all add-ins and click OK. 5. Restart Outlook to see if the problem is resolved. If this issue still exists, please do the following the steps to see if it can be resolved." Now, let me explain, "sort of." I went to find "run" in the start up area. Could not find, I'm still too new for Vista. So, I typed in "Outlook /safe" in the search bar, the search bar at the bottom of the start menu. This brought up an option to set-up Microsoft mail. I went through the steps, but did not start or import anything. When I went back to use Outlook, the problem was resolved. I know this is about as garbled as a message as you can possibly get for help, but it did solve this issue. I hope you can decipher my suggested help for some resolve, and good luck. Actually, there seems some problem with Outlook 2007, as I also experience
the same problem sometimes. When this happened first time, I contacted Microsoft, and they suggested to create the same message again from scratch, but while putting the address in "To" field, don't use auto complete feature, instead right the entire address by typing it. It really helped, but donno why??? As per Microsoft, there seems some problem with the address book itself which stores the addresses and helps auto-complete feature to work. So this way we are not using address book but putting the id properly. Hope it helps. "Rob" wrote in message ...
