We're running Exchange 2000 & Outlook 2002. Saved mail is kept in a "Saved
Mail" folder in the user's Exchange Mailbox. Today I installed Outlook 2003 and discovered that my Saved Mail folder had disappeared I uninstalled 2003 and reinstalled 2002, but the folder did not reappear. I went to my Exchange Server to perform a Restore, but now I'm told that my backup files are not usable (they were fine before Outlook 2003 was installed). Is this because I tried running Outlook 2003 with an Exchange 2000 server and is there any way to get back the folder that disappeared. Looking at the size of my mailbox it looks like it is still there, but I can no longer see it. Bill |

Hi Diane,
I uninstalled 2002 and installed 2003 with the default settings. The folder is not visible in the deleted items folder or when the folder list is displayed. I'm not sure where you want me to press CTRL 6 from, it doesn't appear to do anything in OL Bill "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote in message ... outlook did not delete it. Did you set up outlook 2003 in cache mode or reuse the ol2002 profile? Did you look for the folder in the Deleted items folder? Press CTRL+6 and see if it's in the folder list. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Bill" wrote in message ... I located the folder. During the installation (or first connection) it had
been moved from the Exchange Server mailbox to my HD and saved as a .pst file in a different location than Outlook 2003 was looking. Bill "Bill" wrote in message ...
