HHH. Thank you for the advise. I checked where you suggesteed and NO there
was no file. So I added theonly file they had available "Personal files". i clicked OK and then tryed to open my outlook. I received only 1 windoe this time and it was the Runtime Library again. the message read; MICROSOFT VISUAL C++RUNTIME LIBRARY "Runtime Error! Program: C:\PROGRA~1\MI1933~1\OFFICE10\OUTLOOK.EXE" This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information." Any more suggestions? -- Tia |

Diane, thank you for responding. I was able to finally get the outlook to
open and yes I reinstalled prior to my last message. However, as member hhh said, I need to have a file in there and there was none so I chose the only file that was given to me as an option "Personal Files." Now that I did that, it opens, however, I cannot figure out how to receive my emails in my outlook. When I set up my emails accounts it asks for username, email address, url, password etc. i do not know what goes where, ie: what do i put as a username, what email address am i putting, do i put my real password to log onto aol and/or my mail server, and what is the url address?? these are the things I cannot figure out. any help will be greatly appreciated -- Tia "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: did you try repairing (reinstalling) outlook? -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Tia" wrote in message ...
