Default Border lines on the side of the date cell partially missing

Outlook 2003 (version 11.8118.8107) on XP SP2 Pro. As of few days ago my
Calendar appears with the border lines on the side of the date cell
partially missing. They are white or gray roughly the height of the adjacent
date number, while the rest of the line is OK (black). Any ideas?

I'm trying to picture this...can you give me a little more
detail?

What view are you using? (monthly, daily, etc)
Which side? (right, left)
Could it be that you have an appointment booked during that time?

It is while viewing in the monthly mode.
It has to do with the Jan 9th Outlook security update. After applying this
update the monthly calander view is broken.

I am stumped. Have you tried any of the following?

Try opening Outlook using a switch:

The command line looks kinda like:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe " /CleanReminders

Note: Paths that include spaces between words must be enclosed in quotation
marks (") and are case sensitive.

OL2003: Command-Line Switches by Microsoft Office Assistance:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/as...031101033.aspx

Below are the switches that I suggest you try (in the order given):

a. /cleanprofile - Removes invalid profile keys and recreates default
registry keys where applicable.
b. /cleanviews - Restores default views. All custom views you
created are lost.

Check your calendar after each before you try the next. If the first works,
you do not have to try the other.

OR if the above is not effective:

- Open the HELP menu and choose DETECT and REPAIR

Please write back and let me know if this helped you.

Hi, thanks for your assistance. Unfortunately it didn't help.
For your info, I attach a small image showing the problem.

It is a direct result of the security update to Outlook KB924085 Jan 09, 2007.
If you remove that update, the monthly view right border will go back to
normal.
However, because this update is related to security, I would recommend
leaving it in place until Microsoft comes out with an update fix.

Yeah, I guess that's the best option. I'll wait.
