I have some training to do and have typically had people create folders for
their mail under the Inbox; however, discussion is now being held in our office about whether folders in Outlook should be setup directly under the Mailbox for an individual or under the Inbox. Is there a preferred location? Does it take any more time to download email if it is in stored in folders under the Inbox as opposed to folders under the Mailbox? -- bs |

I think it's a matter of personal preference. I never create folders under
the Inbox. I don't think either location is faster or slower. "Barb" wrote in message ... No, Outlook doesn't care where you put the folders.

It makes no difference. However, what I have found convenient is to create a
folder under Personal Folders named Individuals. Then I create folders under Individuals name for the individual. Rules conveniently place the incoming messages in the individuals folder.
