Default Email delivery notification

I am unable to recieve email "delivery" notification. I am able to receive
"read" mail notifications. Is there something that would block delivery
notification but not read. This occurs on all emails .

Default Email delivery notification

Delivery notifications are dependant on whether or not the mail server is
configured to return them.

When you say mail server I was assuming my ISP email server . Your help
section on common problems
kbprb KB195108
clearyly states that POP3 mail does not accept mail delivery receipts . If
this is so that is my problem. If not then I am still searching for a
solution. Perhaps the option should be noted with the the restrictions. This
would explain why the read notification works as it is triggered only by the
receiptiant. This may be very helpful to many others who are not on an
exchange mail server and yet are trying to use the receipt for delivery
notification.
